This new regulation leads to the phase-out of
Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) battery for use in emergency lighting within the European
Union. The effectivity date of this change is the 18th of August 2024.
As a result of these regulatory changes,
Tridonic®
will discontinue the sale of NiCd batteries and KITs that contain NiCd battery and offers its state of the art LiFePO4 products with 5 years warranty period as replacement.
